HOW TO SELECT THE CORRECT LIQUA-LUBEŽ HUB LUBRICATION SYSTEM
(for 1.980" hub opening)
It is important that you are using
the correct model of the Liqua-Lube Hub Lubrication System for your
trailer. Each Liqua-Lube System contains the correct seal and sleeve
to accommodate a specific spindle size. Your dealer can help you in
determining the correct model needed. If you choose to install the
Liqua-Lube System yourself, use this handy sheet to determine your
spindle and hub size by following these three steps:
1.
Using a calipers, measure the diameter of the spindle at the point
where the seal rides when the hub is on the spindle (A). This
measurement corresponds to the spindle diameter on the chart below. If
spindle has an existing spindle sleeve, measure the sleeve. The
measurement will be .020 to .060 larger than the measurement on the
chart.
2.
Remove the seal from the hub and measure the inside diameter of the
hub where the seal was positioned. This measurement corresponds to the
hub inside diameter on the chart.
3.
To determine the proper model match your spindle and hub size to the
Liqua-Lube part number on the chart below.
NOTE:
One-fourth inch of wall thickness on the face of the hub is needed for
the screws to secure the Liqua-LubeŽ Cap.
